DiPietro a difficult signer? Really? Wow. A 15-year contract must create contempt for fans.

Sorry, but the rosters listed are old and is in dire need of updating.
Inclusion on any category, though, is based on factors clearly spelled out.
In DiPietro's case, his contract status has nothing to do with it. I imagine, though, Islanders fans, management and ownership might like to revisit that decision.
It's based more on recent trips to Hockey Bay and his slipping out of back doors of hotels, taking a hotel courtesy van for a four-block ride and flat-out refusals.
I was fortunate enough to secure his autographs during his rookie year, so it certainly isn't anything personal.
As for Hilbert, it was simply because his autograph is nothing more than an "AH." In essence, it's not worth asking for.
If you are an Islanders fan, though, please accept my condolences. My allegiances are with another struggling team, the Sabres.
